Gideon Mensa completes move to Köln

Köln have officially signed Ghana international Gideon Mensa. The left-back arrives from French side Auxerre and has committed to the club until the summer of 2028. According to Florian Plettenberg, the transfer fee is around €2.5 million including performance-based add-ons. The 28-year-old brings experience from several European leagues, having previously played for Red Bull Salzburg, Zulte Waregem, Vitória Guimarães, and Bordeaux. Mensa made 31 appearances last season, registering two assists. Köln see him as a key addition to strengthen their left defensive flank.
