Villarreal have made their move for Roma striker Artem Dovbyk, launching initial contact with the Serie A side over a potential transfer. According to Corriere dello Sport, the Spanish club have submitted a first inquiry to gauge the feasibility of signing the Ukrainian frontman. Talks are still in the early stages, with no agreement reached yet. But the interest from the La Liga outfit is concrete. Earlier reports had linked Dovbyk with a move to Genoa, but Villarreal now appear to be pushing hardest. The 27-year-old is reportedly open to returning to Spain, where he enjoyed a stellar campaign with Girona, finishing as the league's top scorer. That season put him on the map, and he has not ruled out another stint in La Liga. In his debut season with Roma, Dovbyk scored six goals and added two assists in 20 appearances across all competitions.
