Barcelona set €50m price tag on Ferran Torres as PSG close in

Barcelona have made their stance clear on Ferran Torres: anyone wanting the Spanish forward this winter will have to pay €50 million. According to Diario Sport, the Catalan club is open to letting him go at that price.
Talks between Paris Saint-Germain and the player’s camp are said to be at an advanced stage. Torres has already given a preliminary green light for a move to the French capital, where he could reunite with Luis Enrique — the man who coached him during their time together with Spain’s national team.
Torres’ current contract with Barcelona runs out next summer, so the club is eager to cash in now rather than risk losing him for free. PSG, after selling Gonçalo Ramos to Milan and expecting Randal Kolo Muani to leave, are in the market for attacking reinforcements. Torres has become one of their top targets.
Barcelona, meanwhile, have their eyes on a replacement. The club plans to use the proceeds from Torres’ sale to fund a move for Atlético Madrid striker Julián Álvarez, who remains the primary target at Camp Nou.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a productive 2023-24 season, scoring 21 goals and adding 3 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions. Right now, he’s with Spain as they prepare for the World Cup 2026 semifinal against France.
