Fiorentina bring back Alex Jimenez to Italy with loan deal from Bournemouth

Bournemouth right-back Alex Jimenez is set to join Fiorentina on loan with an option to buy, according to journalist Nicolo Schira. The 21-year-old Spaniard is undergoing a medical in Florence ahead of the move. The Cherries have agreed to send Jimenez on a temporary deal that includes a €20 million purchase clause. Half of that fee will go to AC Milan, the player's former club, which already profited from his earlier moves to Bournemouth. The other half will go to Real Madrid. Milan also secured a 10% sell-on clause for any future permanent transfer. If Fiorentina trigger the option next year, Jimenez is expected to sign a four-year contract. His current deal with Bournemouth runs until June 2030 and includes a club option for an additional season. During the 2025/26 campaign, Jimenez made 32 appearances across all competitions for Bournemouth, scoring one goal and providing one assist. In May, he was reportedly under investigation over alleged improper correspondence with a minor. Fiorentina's right-back position had been a topic of previous reports.
