Sporting Lisbon Loan Chelsea Talent Jesse Derry

Sporting CP have officially announced the signing of Chelsea winger Jesse Derry on a season-long loan. The 19-year-old England youth international will spend the 2026/27 campaign in Lisbon. Derry, a left winger, recently signed a new contract with Chelsea that runs until June 2032 before making the temporary move to Portugal. He made his first-team debut for the Blues last season, appearing in three matches. For Chelsea's U-21 side in Premier League 2, he scored six goals and added three assists across 17 outings. In the UEFA Youth League, he netted five times in eight appearances. On the international stage, Derry represents England at U-19 level, where he has recorded eight goals and two assists in 15 caps.
