Borussia Dortmund target Genk's Karetsas as potential Brandt replacement – €35m price tag

Borussia Dortmund have set their sights on Genk attacking midfielder Konstantinos Karetsas, according to Sky Sport DE.
The German side faces a major obstacle: Genk's financial demands. The Belgian club is asking for around €35 million for the 18-year-old Greek talent. Dortmund will also face stiff competition for the playmaker, whose contract with Genk runs until June 2029.
Karetsas has been impressive this season, scoring three goals and providing 18 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions in the 2025/26 campaign. On the international stage, he has earned 10 caps for Greece, netting three times and adding one assist.
The youngster made history by becoming the youngest-ever goalscorer for the Greek national team at 17 years and 124 days old — a record he also set in the UEFA Nations League.
It is worth recalling that Borussia Dortmund made an announcement in March after seven years at the club.
