Erling Haaland: I Want England to Succeed at the 2026 World Cup

Norway and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has openly backed England after his own side was knocked out of the 2026 World Cup in the quarterfinals.
In a tense match that ended 2-1 to England after extra time, Haaland admitted his sympathies lie with the Three Lions. The forward was born in Leeds, where his father Alf-Inge Haaland once played.
“Of course I want England to do well. I think as a kid I got an England shirt before I got a Norway one. I hope England succeed because it’s a great country with a nice kit as well,” Haaland said.
England will now face Argentina in the semifinals of the 2026 World Cup.
