The 26-year-old recently signed a contract extension with Spurs and made clear he is not entertaining any thoughts of a switch. Porro acknowledged that talk is inevitable but stressed his loyalty to the club that gave him a new deal. However, he did not completely rule out a future move, noting that football can change overnight. “Right now I’m very happy at my club. They backed me and offered me a contract extension that I think I deserved. As for Barcelona, people always talk and want the best for their clubs. I’m focused on the national team and Tottenham. We’ll see what happens tomorrow – in football you never know,” Porro said. Last season, Porro made 47 appearances across all competitions – the most of any Tottenham player.
