Urartu Bolster Defense with Free Agent Vladyslav Veremieiev

Armenian side Urartu have confirmed the signing of Ukrainian defender Vladyslav Veremieiev on a free transfer. The 27-year-old arrives as a free agent after his departure from Azerbaijani outfit Shamakhi, where he had been playing since January 2023. Veremieiev made 26 appearances for Shamakhi last season, providing three assists from the back. Financial terms of his contract with Urartu have not been disclosed by the club. The Yerevan-based club is no stranger to Ukrainian talent — the squad already features Anton Bratkov, Yevgen Tsymbalyuk, and Artem Polyarus. Urartu finished fifth in the Armenian Premier League last campaign and will be looking to climb the table with their new signing.
