Bayern U-turn: Kim Min-Jae to stay in Munich unless 'exceptional' bid arrives

0
Bayern Munich have performed a dramatic about-face on the future of Kim Min-Jae. According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, the Bundesliga champions are no longer pushing to sell the South Korean centre-back during the current transfer window. The report indicates that a departure would only be considered if an exceptional offer lands on the table — one that satisfies both the club and the player. And the 29-year-old is reportedly keen to remain with the Bavarians. Earlier this summer, Kim was heavily linked to Juventus, with the Serie A side supposedly prepared to pay around €40 million for his services. The defender was said to be open to a return to Italy. Kim joined Bayern from Napoli in July 2023 for €50 million. Since then, he has made 77 appearances, scoring four goals and providing two assists. In the 2025/26 campaign, he logged just over 2,000 minutes across all competitions — his lowest playing time in recent seasons.
