Manchester United still hunting for third midfield signing despite Santos and Tielemans deals

Manchester United are not done reshaping their midfield. According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the club intends to bring in another central midfielder this summer, even after securing two arrivals. The Mancunians have already agreed a deal with Chelsea for Andrey Santos, who signed a five-year contract with an option for an additional season. In addition, United have activated a €41 million release clause, believed to be for Youri Tielemans. Yet the club’s hierarchy is not satisfied. Work continues on adding a third midfielder to the ranks. Interestingly, Manuel Ugarte’s injury has not altered the transfer strategy. The Uruguayan is now expected to stay at Old Trafford this summer due to his knock, but that hasn’t cooled United’s pursuit of further reinforcements in the centre of the park.
