Turkish transfer insider Ekrem Konur has detailed the Blues' intentions. Porto, however, are holding firm: they will not let their No. 1 leave for anything less than the €61 million release clause written into his contract. That valuation is further supported by Costa’s standout performances at the World Cup and ongoing interest from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain. Chelsea’s initial proposal is expected to land in the region of €40 million — a figure still far off Porto’s demands. The 24-year-old shot-stopper featured 49 times for the Portuguese giants last season. With the gap in valuation still significant, a quick resolution looks unlikely.
