Barcelona may return to Montjuïc as Camp Nou roof work looms

Barcelona are planning another temporary move away from Camp Nou. According to Sport.es, the Catalan club faces a new phase of stadium renovations that will see a roof installed at their iconic ground. Work is scheduled to begin in June 2027 and is expected to last around four and a half months. During that period, Barça want to return to the Olympic Stadium on Montjuïc, which already served as their temporary home between 2023 and 2025 during the major overhaul of Camp Nou. The club has already contacted La Liga to request permission to play their home matches in the first half of the 2027-28 season at the alternative venue. The league is expected to review the request in the coming weeks.
