Real Madrid asks UEFA to strip Barcelona of titles over Negreira case

Real Madrid have formally requested that UEFA review every trophy Barcelona won while former refereeing committee vice-president José María Enríquez Negreira was receiving payments from the Catalan club, according to AS. The Madrid side has also demanded documentation from Barcelona covering the 2010–2018 period to examine what anti-corruption measures were in place at the club and whether they were actually enforced. In 2023, Barcelona and its officials were charged in connection with payments totalling several million euros made to Negreira between 2001 and 2018. A Spanish court ruled that the payments themselves were subject to criminal proceedings, and the investigation remains ongoing.
