Bournemouth complete signing of Álvaro Rodríguez from Elche for €30m

Bournemouth have officially announced the signing of Uruguayan forward Álvaro Rodríguez from Elche. The 22-year-old joins the Premier League outfit after a season in Spain's second division. While the club did not disclose contract terms, journalist Mario Corteghan reports the fee is €25 million plus €5 million in add-ons. Notably, half of that sum will go to Real Madrid. Los Blancos sold Rodríguez to Elche in the summer of 2025 for just €2 million but retained a 50% sell-on clause. Last season, the striker made 36 appearances, scoring seven goals and adding five assists.
