Edwin Odinaka: Bukovyna was my priority, I want to be a team player

New Bukovyna defender Edwin Odinaka has officially joined the Chernivtsi side. The Nigerian became the second player from his country in the club's history and shared his thoughts on the move.
"It was a long road and I was waiting for this day. Now I am in Chernivtsi, officially a Bukovyna player. I came here to help the team achieve its goals. I had several options, but Bukovyna was my priority. So I chose them, and I'm really happy it worked out this way.
Honestly, I didn't know exactly who the first Nigerian was, but I knew I would be the second. That's a great honour. I will give my maximum so that both Nigeria and my new club can be proud of me.
My professional career in Europe started in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I learned a lot there, faced different challenges, and they made me stronger as a footballer. That was the starting point of my European journey.
I can play both in defence and attack, but I feel most comfortable as a right winger. That's where I can cause the most trouble for opponents with my speed. I am fast, explosive, and intelligent.
My first goal is to be a team player. I also want to provide as many assists as possible — that's one of my strengths. I hope our story together with Bukovyna will be long. I want to bring as much benefit to the team as possible.
To the fans, I want to say: I already love you, friends! I hope to see you soon at the stadium. See you!" — Odinaka said as quoted by the club's press service.
