Shakhtar's Eginhaldo Undergoes Surgery, Will Miss Season Start

Shakhtar Donetsk have announced that attacking midfielder Eginhaldo underwent successful surgery on his shoulder in Germany. The 21-year-old Brazilian picked up the injury during the club's summer training camp. The operation went well, and the player has now begun his rehabilitation process. The club confirmed that Eginhaldo will not be fit in time for the remainder of pre-season and will also miss the opening weeks of the new campaign. In the 2025/26 season, the winger made 27 appearances across all competitions for Shakhtar, scoring nine goals and providing three assists.
