Brazhko keeps it grounded: 'Everything will be decided on the pitch'

Volodymyr Brazhko, the Dynamo Kyiv midfielder, shared his thoughts ahead of the Europa League first-round qualifying second leg against Romanian side Universitatea Craiova. The match kicks off at 20:30 local time on July 16. "Every team is used to playing every three days now, especially at the start of the season. Maybe the break works in our favor, or maybe the opponents have a better rhythm. Universitatea changed their lineup for the Supercup game compared to our first match," Brazhko said. The midfielder refrained from making bold predictions. "I don't want to make loud statements before the game. Everything will be decided on the pitch tomorrow. We'll see who is better — I hope it's our team." Brazhko also addressed the pressure from the fans: "We've played in front of full stadiums before, it's nothing new. We expect a great atmosphere and hope to win." Assessing the opposition, he added: "Universitatea played a very solid game overall. They didn't let us score, defended for 90 minutes, and created chances. The result in the first leg came from our own mistakes. We want to start this game with a goal and finish with a victory." The first leg in Romania ended 0-0.
