Lionel Scaloni couldn't hide his emotion after Argentina knocked out England in the semifinals of the 2026 World Cup. The head coach hailed his squad as a once-in-a-generation group that keeps exceeding expectations. "There are no words, just no words. This is joy for our country, for our people. I said it the other day — this group never stops surprising me. We'll go into the final and leave everything on the pitch," Scaloni said. He insisted his praise wasn't arrogance. "It's very hard to explain to people what these players are doing. It's incredible. We are truly unique — and that's not arrogance, I say it from the bottom of my heart. Today they carried us forward to victory, and I'm endlessly grateful." Argentina will face Spain in the final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
