Borussia Dortmund Move to Hijack Arsenal’s Chase for Brugge Starlet Tresoldi

Borussia Dortmund have stepped up their pursuit of Club Brugge’s 21-year-old German striker Nicolo Tresoldi, aiming to beat Arsenal to one of the most promising attackers of his generation. Tresoldi, a regular in Germany’s youth national teams, enjoyed a breakout campaign last season with 58 appearances, 23 goals and nine assists. Brugge signed him just a year ago for a modest €7.5 million and are now bracing for a major payday. Arsenal had been tracking the forward throughout the season but never made a decisive move. Dortmund, however, have spent the last few days finalising personal terms with Tresoldi’s representatives and are preparing a formal bid. The catch? Brugge are holding out for at least €35 million, while Dortmund’s opening offer is expected to be in the region of €30 million. Negotiations are set to intensify as the Belgian side know they hold a valuable asset with multiple suitors.
