Fiorentina Circle Wolves Striker Tolu Arokodare as Loan Deal Takes Shape
0
Fiorentina have set their sights on Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Tolu Arokodare, hoping to bring him to Serie A on a loan arrangement that includes an option to buy. The Nigerian striker, who joined Wolves from Belgian side Genk for €26 million just last summer, now faces life in the Championship after the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
Wolves are undergoing a squad overhaul following their drop to England’s second tier, and Arokodare is among those whose future at Molineux is uncertain. The 25-year-old managed six goals and two assists in 38 appearances across all competitions last season.
Fiorentina’s proposal — a loan with a €22 million purchase clause — has received preliminary approval from the player, who is open to the move. However, Wolves would prefer a permanent transfer rather than a temporary exit. Talks remain ongoing as both sides look to bridge the gap in their preferred deal structures.
