Westergaard left Leicester

Center back Yannick Westergaard is no longer a Leicester player. The English club announced the early termination of the contract with the 33-year-old Dane by mutual consent of the parties, reports the official website of the Foxes. Westergaard joined Leicester from Southampton in the summer of 2021. During his time with the team, he played 118 matches in all competitions and helped the club win the Championship in the 2023/24 season. Last season, Leicester failed to retain their place in the Championship, finishing in 23rd position, which saw the team relegated to the Premier League. Vestergaard is now a free agent and can join a new club without a transfer fee.
