FIFA officially announced that the winners of the 2026 World Cup for the first time in history will receive not only the main trophy and gold medals, but also individual championship rings. As the organization reported, this tradition, well-known in American sports, will be used for the first time at a tournament under the auspices of FIFA. A total of 2,026 numbered rings will be produced. Thirty of them are intended for football players and representatives of the winning team, and another 1,996 will go on sale as officially licensed souvenir products. Each ring will have a unique serial number, a certificate of authenticity and will be custom-made for the owner. One side will depict the FIFA World Cup, and the other will be decorated with the symbols of the national team that will win the tournament. Immediately after the final, the captain and head coach of the champion team will receive temporary rings. Later, all 30 copies will be personalized and officially presented to their owners. The final match of the 2026 World Cup between Spain and Argentina will take place on July 19 in New Jersey. It starts at 22:00 Kyiv time.
