Newcastle prepared 60 million euros for the Tottenham midfielder

Newcastle have stepped up talks over the transfer of Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall and have made a major move towards signing him. According to insider Nicolo Scira, the club from St. James Park is ready to pay 60 million euros for the 20-year-old Swede. It is such an amount, according to the management of Newcastle, that can convince Tottenham to agree to the sale of one of its most promising football players. However, the London club has not yet decided on its position regarding a possible transfer. Bergvall joined Tottenham in the summer of 2024 from Djurgården for €20 million. Since then, he played 78 matches, scored 2 goals and provided 9 assists. According to the Transfermarkt portal, the market value of the Swedish midfielder is currently 45 million euros.
