South Korean band BTS headlined an unprecedented halftime show at the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals. The musical pause, which attracted the attention of the whole world, lasted a record 27 minutes for football.
At the stadium in New Jersey (USA), where the teams of Spain and Argentina are competing for the most important trophy, the musicians performed their super hit Dynamite, breaking the stormy ovations of the stands. This event became a landmark for the band's fans: if only Jungkook performed at the opening ceremony of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, then four years later, at the decisive match of the North American World Cup, BTS took the stage together.
A large-scale 27-minute break turned into a real world music festival. The action began with the spectacular appearance of the pop icon Madonna, who was joined by Brazilian football legends Ronaldo and Ronaldinho.
Immediately after them, BTS lit up the stage, and later Justin Bieber, Shakira and Burna Boy picked up the musical baton, who brought the unprecedented program to a bright end.
While the world stars entertained the crowd, the teams had plenty of time to rest and prepare for the decisive half of the game. We will remind you that the first half of the intense final match between the national teams of Spain and Argentina took place in an uncompromising struggle and ended without goals scored - the teams went to the long break with a score of 0:0.
