Ukrainian winger Tuterov extended his contract with Sunderland

Ukrainian winger Timur Tuterov signed a new contract with Sunderland. This was officially reported by the press service of the English club. The 21-year-old footballer continued his cooperation with the "Black Cats" after a productive season, during which he significantly added to his development. Tuterov also recently scored a goal in a friendly against York City, which ended in a crushing 5-1 victory for Sunderland. The Ukrainian spent the first part of the 2025/26 season as part of mediaderland U-21 team, where he scored six goals and one assist in seven Premier League 2 matches. Such performance allowed him to get a chance to prove himself at an adult level. Tuterov spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Exeter City, which plays in League 1. In 17 matches for the club, the Ukrainian scored three goals and provided one assist. Sunderland said the new contract was confirmation of the young winger's progress and the club's belief in his long-term prospects.
