Ferran Torres agrees PSG move, clearing path for Arsenal's €150m Barcola pursuit

Arsenal’s hopes of landing Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola have received a significant boost after Ferran Torres reportedly reached an agreement in principle to join the Ligue 1 champions this summer.
According to transfer journalist Nicolo Schira, Torres has decided to leave Barcelona ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. The Spain international has one year left on his contract at Camp Nou and has agreed a five-year deal with PSG, who are preparing to submit an official bid to Hansi Flick’s side. Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur had both shown interest in the 26-year-old, but he has opted for a move to Paris.
Torres registered 21 goals in 49 appearances across all competitions last season. His departure from Barcelona could now accelerate Arsenal’s plans to sign Barcola as a replacement for Leandro Trossard, who is expected to join Besiktas for around €20 million.
Barcola, 23, is valued at €150m by PSG, according to L’Equipe. Despite making 49 appearances last season, the France winger was left out of the starting XI for all of PSG’s final five Champions League matches, with Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia preferred by coach Luis Enrique. Contract extension talks have stalled, and Barcola is reportedly considering his future in the French capital.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool are monitoring the situation. The Gunners are also keen on Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers, but Barcola remains a priority target. Negotiations could intensify after the World Cup, when Barcola returns from international duty with France. PSG themselves are also eyeing RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande and AS Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche, which could further increase the chances of Barcola being allowed to leave before the transfer window closes on September 1.
