Arsenal Plot £400m Quadruple Raid as Odegaard Future Becomes Clear

0
Arsenal are preparing to flex their financial muscle in a spectacular summer window, with plans to splash out around £400 million (€430m) on four major additions. Mikel Arteta's side, fresh off lifting the Premier League title, are looking to cement their dominance by addressing key areas. According to reports, the Gunners have drawn up a shortlist that includes Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers, Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis, a Newcastle midfielder, and Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez. If Arsenal meet the asking prices for all four, the total outlay would reach a staggering £400m – on top of the already-agreed permanent signings of Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie for €40m and Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier on a free transfer. Swapping Victor Gyokeres for Alvarez has been floated as one way to reduce the cost. Talk of a player-plus-cash deal involving the Sweden international has emerged, though swaps are notoriously complex and Arsenal's interest in the Argentine remains at the exploratory stage. Winger Bradley Barcola also remains on the radar, although Liverpool are considered frontrunners for the Paris Saint-Germain attacker. The France Under-21 international is available this summer, but Arsenal's primary target remains Morgan Rogers. Despite ongoing speculation, Martin Odegaard will not be sold. Arteta is determined to build squad depth rather than make one-in-one-out moves, and the Norwegian playmaker is considered untouchable. Former Liverpool defender John Arne Riise has publicly backed Odegaard amid links to Galatasaray, which have been firmly denied. Arsenal have already been active in the market. Leandro Trossard has joined Besiktas for €20m, Jakub Kiwior moved to Porto for €17m, Karl Hein left for Werder Bremen for €3m, and young Josh Nichols departed for NK Kustosija on a free. Meanwhile, Hincapie and Meslier have been secured as part of the club's long-term planning.
