Celtic ready to go all out for Kieron Bowie as Verona set €15m asking price

Celtic are reportedly preparing to push hard for the signing of striker Kieron Bowie, having missed out on the 23-year-old during the winter window.
Bowie was strongly linked with a move to Celtic Park back in January after a string of impressive displays for Hibernian, but Hellas Verona beat the Scottish champions to his signature, paying €6 million to bring him to Serie A.
His time in Italy has been mixed. Bowie scored four goals in 14 appearances in the second half of the season but could not prevent Verona from slipping into Serie B. That relegation also cost him a place in Scotland’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Now, though, a return to his homeland could be on the cards. According to Corriere di Verona, Celtic are ready to go "all out" to land the forward this summer as they look to strengthen their attacking options. The Hoops are set to announce Camilo Duran as their first summer signing — Martin O’Neill has confirmed that deal is done — and have now turned their focus to Bowie.
Verona manager Marco Baroni has reportedly urged the club to keep Bowie, but a move away appears increasingly likely, with Celtic leading the race ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Bowie’s Estimated Transfer Value stands at just €2.7 million, but Hellas Verona are holding out for around €15 million as they look to maximise the fee. The player himself is said to be open to returning to Scotland, and Celtic can offer European football next season — a factor that could prove decisive.
In the meantime, Celtic are also tracking Egypt forward Haissem Hassan, who impressed at the World Cup. Real Oviedo are open to selling after their relegation from La Liga, and Celtic have reportedly lodged a formal bid of just over €4 million, despite interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia. Hassan has a release clause close to €12 million, though a lower fee is expected given Oviedo’s need to raise funds.
