Danny Dyer delivers definitive verdict on Jarrod Bowen's West Ham future

Jarrod Bowen is not going anywhere this summer, according to the man who knows him best away from the pitch — his father-in-law, actor Danny Dyer. Dyer went on talkSPORT and made it clear the West Ham United captain will stay at the London Stadium despite the club's relegation from the Premier League. Bowen, 29, had been strongly linked with Chelsea, Aston Villa and Liverpool, but with the Championship season kicking off in less than a month, a move looks off the table. “He's a very great, loyal man,” Dyer said. “First and foremost, he is my family, the father of my grandchildren, of course. It's been tough for him. He does deserve Champions League football and whatever decision he makes, or made, I would have supported him. I don't think he's going anywhere, and I think he will rip up the Championship, don't you worry yourself about that.” Bowen registered nine goals and 11 assists in 38 Premier League appearances last season and is under contract until 2030. West Ham are banking on him to lead their push for an immediate return to the top flight. The news forces Chelsea to look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements. Morgan Rogers of Aston Villa remains their primary target, but Arsenal are currently the frontrunners for the 22-year-old and his asking price is considered prohibitive by the Blues hierarchy. Bournemouth's Eli Junior Kroupi has also been mentioned, though interest from across Europe makes a deal complicated. A move for Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola appears unlikely as well, with PSG focused on signing Yan Diomande and Maghnes Akliouche this window.
