The best fit, however, belongs to Crystal Palace with a score of 82, followed closely by AS Roma on 80. Manchester City rank well stylistically, but game time behind Erling Haaland would be scarce. Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund also rate as strong options. Balogun’s recent past has been anything but quiet. He was the USMNT’s standout performer before a red card against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the round of 32 of the World Cup sparked a corruption scandal. FIFA suspended his one-match ban after personal intervention from US president Donald Trump, but the controversy derailed the team’s focus, leading to an embarrassing round-of-16 exit against Belgium. Ironically, the Brooklyn-born forward faced the same choice in 2023 when he left Arsenal — Chelsea or Monaco. He chose Monaco. Three years on, the decision appears just as clear: steer clear of Chelsea.
