Chelsea Transfer Update: Wharton Talks Ongoing, Garnacho Set for Exit, Summerville Emerges as Option

0
Chelsea are keeping their options open across multiple fronts as the summer transfer window approaches, with developments emerging on Adam Wharton, Alejandro Garnacho, Crysencio Summerville, and Liam Delap. According to sources, Chelsea have maintained contact with the representatives of Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton as they weigh a potential move. While Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham have pulled back, Chelsea remain in the picture—though a deal is far from guaranteed, and Wharton could still be at Selhurst Park when the window closes on September 1. Alejandro Garnacho’s time at Stamford Bridge appears to be coming to an end. The Argentina winger, signed from Manchester United last summer, has been transfer-listed by the club after a difficult debut campaign. Both sides have agreed to explore a sale, and Garnacho has not reported for pre-season. He is not part of Xabi Alonso’s plans, and a move is expected as Champions League clubs circle. Meanwhile, Chelsea are considering a move for West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville. Reports from Italy claim the Blues are monitoring the Dutchman as a cheaper alternative to primary target Morgan Rogers, who is also being pursued by Arsenal. Summerville is likely to leave West Ham following their relegation to the Championship, with Manchester United also interested. Up front, Liam Delap has no intention of leaving. The striker, who scored just one Premier League goal last season, is determined to fight for his place under Alonso despite rumors that Chelsea will sell either him or Nicolas Jackson. Delap has made clear he wants to stay and prove himself at the club.
