Chelsea agree €28m deal to sell Tyrique George to Everton – Romano

Chelsea have struck a full agreement to sell winger Tyrique George to Everton in a summer deal that could be worth up to €28 million, according to insider.
The England U21 international joined David Moyes' side on loan in January but saw limited action, logging just 210 Premier League minutes out of a possible 1,170. Despite that, the Toffees were impressed enough to push for a permanent move.
Romano confirmed the news on X with his trademark 'here we go' stamp, revealing the breakdown: a fixed £18 million (€21 million), plus £6 million (€7 million) in add-ons, and a 15% sell-on clause in Chelsea's favor. George is set to sign a long-term contract at Goodison Park.
Everton originally held an option to buy for around €29 million under the loan terms, but the clubs renegotiated a lower initial fee. George will become the Toffees' third summer signing after Merlin Rohl and Hayden Hackney.
Chelsea's summer clear-out is just beginning. George follows Marc Cucurella out the door, and more departures are expected. Trevoh Chalobah is linked with Inter Milan and Como, while Axel Disasi and David Datro Fofana are also likely to move on. One of Nicolas Jackson or Liam Delap could be sold after Emmanuel Emegha's arrival, and Alejandro Garnacho may also be available. Andrey Santos, Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana, Tosin Adarabioyo, Malo Gusto, Marc Guiu, and Filip Jorgensen all face uncertain futures. Enzo Fernandez, however, looks set to stay after Real Madrid pulled out of the race.
