Man Utd seal Darlow deal, Ederson on hold, Garnacho exit looms – Romano

insider has dropped a flurry of transfer updates, with Manchester United finalising the free signing of Karl Darlow while the door opens for Alejandro Garnacho to leave Chelsea. Karl Darlow is officially a Manchester United player after the club reached a full agreement on a free transfer. The Wales international, formerly of Leeds United, will serve as backup goalkeeper. Romano confirmed it as a 'here we go' move, with Darlow accepting terms and set to sign the contract tomorrow. This comes as Altay Bayindir is expected to depart, and Andre Onana has already left for Trabzonspor on a loan deal that could net United around £1.5 million in bonuses. United have also struck verbal agreements for Andrey Santos and Ederson. Santos completed the first part of his medical and is considered a signed midfielder, with the official announcement pending. Ederson, however, is in a holding pattern. The first part of his medical was done in the United States, and additional checks are now taking place in England. Once those are cleared, United will communicate with Atalanta and the player's camp to decide whether to proceed. The deal is verbally agreed but not yet final. Alejandro Garnacho's future at Chelsea is far from certain. Romano explained that while the club is not actively pushing him out, they are open to a permanent transfer if the right offer arrives. Chelsea's position is clear: only a permanent sale will be considered, no loans. Garnacho joined Chelsea from Manchester United just a year ago but could already be on the move again. Developments are expected. Newcastle United, meanwhile, are closing in on Freiburg midfielder Johan Manzambi. After losing Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali, the Magpies are moving for the Switzerland international. Romano hinted that behind-the-scenes work is advancing.
