Transfer Window Heats Up: Chelsea Chase Double Signing, Rashford Puts Future on Hold, PSG Target Top Talents
0
The summer transfer market is simmering, and insider has dropped a series of updates that set the stage for a busy period ahead. Chelsea are pushing to finalize two key additions, Marcus Rashford has made his stance crystal clear regarding his Manchester United future, and Paris Saint-Germain are preparing big-money moves for two highly rated young stars.
Chelsea’s double deal
The Blues are working on two fronts. According to Romano, Chelsea have a personal agreement with Rayo Vallecano left-back Pep Chavarria and plan to resume talks with the Spanish club next week. The second target is Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix. Romano confirmed that behind-the-scenes contacts remain active, though Palace are demanding a substantial fee and will want to secure a replacement before letting him go – a situation reminiscent of the Marc Guehi saga last summer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have completed an outgoing transfer. Winger Tyrique George is heading to Everton in a permanent deal worth around £24 million, with all terms agreed between the clubs. Romano gave the move his trademark “here we go” seal.
Rashford’s World Cup priority
Marcus Rashford has spoken publicly about his future, making it clear he will not entertain any transfer discussions during the 2026 World Cup. “If anybody wanted a decision from him on a transfer, they had to make it happen before the World Cup. During the World Cup he is not going to entertain any negotiations,” Romano reported. Manchester United, however, remain confident they can reintegrate Rashford into the squad during pre-season. After the tournament, both sides will evaluate offers. Nothing is guaranteed, but Rashford’s focus is entirely on the pitch this summer.
PSG eyeing big-money additions
Paris Saint-Germain, fresh off their second consecutive Champions League triumph in May, are ready to back Luis Enrique again. Romano confirmed that negotiations for Yan Diomande continue, with a price tag exceeding €100 million if PSG want him immediately. The French champions are also in talks for Monaco talent Maghnes Akliouche. The club is simultaneously working on potential departures, including Randal Kolo Muani, though details remain incomplete.
