Fenerbahce officially sign Manchester City defender Nathan Ake

Fenerbahce have completed the signing of Netherlands international Nathan Ake from Manchester City, the Turkish club confirmed on Tuesday. The 29-year-old centre-back, who won three Premier League titles, the Champions League and the Club World Cup during his four-year spell at the Etihad, has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with an option for an additional season. The transfer fee has not been disclosed but is believed to be in the region of €20 million. “We are delighted to welcome Nathan to our family. His experience at the highest level and his versatility across the back line will be a major boost for the squad,” a club statement read. Ake has already passed his medical and will link up with his new teammates at Fenerbahce’s pre-season training camp in Austria. He has earned 45 caps for the Netherlands and featured at Euro 2024.
