Chornomorets fail to loan Dynamo Kyiv duo – Dyachuk and Tsarenko refuse to return to Ukraine

Odesa-based Chornomorets attempted to bolster their squad with two Dynamo Kyiv players during the winter window, but the moves collapsed after the footballers themselves turned down the chance to come back to Ukraine. According to journalist Mykhailo Spivakovsky, the club pursued loan deals for centre-back Maksym Dyachuk and midfielder Anton Tsarenko. Both are under contract with Dynamo and have featured for the first team, but when it came to relocating to Ukraine, they said no. Sources indicate the players cited security concerns as the reason for declining. Chornomorets had been prepared to take both on loan until the end of the season, but the individual decisions of the two players killed the deals. For now, Dyachuk and Tsarenko remain Dynamo players, with their immediate futures up in the air.
