FIFA Rejects Belgian FA Appeal Over Folarin Balogun's Suspension

FIFA's Appeal Committee has turned down the Royal Belgian Football Association's (RBFA) request to overturn the decision regarding the temporary suspension of U.S. men's national team striker Folarin Balogun, according to The Athletic. The disciplinary body of world football's governing body had previously placed Balogun's disqualification on hold, allowing the striker to continue playing. Belgian officials challenged that ruling, seeking to have the ban fully rescinded. However, the appeal panel sided with the initial verdict, rejecting the RBFA's plea. Neither the Belgian federation nor representatives of Balogun have issued an immediate comment. The case now appears closed unless further legal steps are pursued.
