Rangers Agree €5.5m Deal for Partizan Belgrade Captain Vanja Dragojevic

Rangers have struck an agreement with Partizan Belgrade to sign midfielder Vanja Dragojevic for a fee of €5.5 million, according to reports emerging from Serbia.
The 20-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Ibrox throughout the summer window, and after weeks of back-and-forth talks, the Serbian club have accepted Rangers’ latest bid. Dragojevic is now expected to travel to Glasgow imminently to undergo a medical before being officially presented as Derek McInnes’ seventh addition of the transfer window.
Dragojevic, who was handed the Partizan captaincy last year, is widely considered one of Serbia’s brightest emerging talents. His Estimated Transfer Value currently sits at €3.6m, reflecting a sharp rise thanks to his performances over the past months. Last season he made 41 appearances across all competitions, finding the net four times and setting up four more goals. He also earned his senior international debut in a friendly against Cape Verde back in May.
Once the move is finalized, Dragojevic will join a busy summer overhaul at Rangers. Goalkeeper Ivor Pandur arrived from Hull City for €7m to become the new No.1, while defenders Ross McCrorie and Ben Godfrey (on loan) have been added to the backline. In midfield, Dan Neil and Cammy Devlin came in on free transfers alongside the imminent arrival of Dragojevic. Up front, Lawrence Shankland was brought in from Hearts to lead the line.
Celtic, meanwhile, have yet to make a single summer signing. With a full preseason ahead, McInnes is confident that his retooled Rangers squad can challenge for the Scottish Premiership title and finally get the better of their Glasgow rivals for the first time since 2021.
