2026 Summer Transfer Window: Key Closing Dates for Europe’s Top Leagues and Saudi Arabia

0
The 2026 summer transfer window is already tearing along, and Europe’s elite clubs are preparing to splash again after a record-breaking 2025. Last summer, Liverpool twice shattered the Premier League transfer record – first for Florian Wirtz, then for Alexander Isak. Trent Alexander-Arnold swapped Liverpool for Real Madrid ahead of the Club World Cup in June. Chelsea burned nearly €340 million on nine new faces. Bayern Munich swooped for Luis Diaz, while Arsenal went big on Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze and several others. This year hasn’t been quiet either. Manchester United have remodelled their midfield with Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, and controversially brought in Karl Darlow from Leeds to back up Senne Lammens. Manchester City obliterated their own club record by splashing €135 million on Nottingham Forest and England midfielder Elliot Anderson. Tottenham have broken their record twice – first on West Ham prodigy Mateus Fernandes, then on Newcastle star Sandro Tonali. Chelsea made Marco Palestra the first signing of the Xabi Alonso era, while Marc Cucurella departed for Real Madrid. The Spanish giants also landed Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries. Barcelona, meanwhile, have recruited Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi, and could still add Atlético Madrid superstar Julian Alvarez.
