Tielemans, Trossard, Manzambi: Five Major Transfers Poised to Close This Week

0
The summer transfer market is heating up fast, and multiple high-profile deals are on the brink of being finalized before the 2026-27 season kicks off. After the early moves of Sandro Tonali, Marc Cucurella, and Elliot Anderson, a new wave of star names is about to change clubs. Here’s a breakdown of five transactions expected to go through in the coming days. Youri Tielemans to Manchester United – The Belgium midfielder has triggered a €41 million (£35m) release clause in his Aston Villa contract and has made Old Trafford his priority. Despite Unai Emery’s efforts to keep him following an impressive three-year run, Villa cannot block the exit. An official announcement is expected imminently. Leandro Trossard to Besiktas – Arsenal have agreed a €20m fee with the Turkish club for the 31-year-old winger. Trossard has been a key figure for the Gunners since arriving, but with strong interest in Morgan Rogers, Christos Tzolis, and Bradley Barcola, the London side is moving him on. Besiktas are prepared to pay Trossard an annual salary of €7m, and a full agreement is very near. Johan Manzambi to Aston Villa – The Switzerland international, who impressed at the World Cup, was close to joining Newcastle United. However, Villa have hijacked the move once again, just as they did with a previous Newcastle target. Manzambi, currently at Freiburg, is set to become Villa’s record signing, adding creativity and goals to Unai Emery’s midfield. Karim Adeyemi to Barcelona – After passing on Marcus Rashford following his loan spell, Barcelona quickly secured Anthony Gordon and have now wrapped up a €22m deal for Karim Adeyemi. Club president Joan Laporta confirmed the transfer, stating, “We are very excited about Adeyemi. He’s dangerous and fast, and Deco handled the signing very well. The news came out when it was meant to.” Pep Chavarria to Chelsea – The Blues have submitted a third bid for Rayo Vallecano left-back Pep Chavarria. Personal terms have already been fully agreed, with new head coach Xabi Alonso a major factor in convincing the Spaniard. Rayo have yet to accept, but all signs point to Chavarria soon being presented at Stamford Bridge.
