The summer transfer window is in full swing across the Premier League, with several high-profile moves confirmed on Friday as clubs race to strengthen before the September 1 deadline. Tottenham have been the busiest side, completing a double defensive swoop. Brighton center-back Jan Paul van Hecke moves to north London for a substantial £52 million, while Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi arrives on a free transfer. Spurs also offloaded Donyell Malen to Roma for £21.6 million as part of a squad reshape. Arsenal have bolstered their backline with the arrival of Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie, who joins for £34.5 million. The Gunners also saw Jakub Kiwior depart to Porto (£19 million) and Karl Hein join Werder Bremen (£2.6 million). Chelsea have been active in both directions, signing Sporting Lisbon winger Geovany Quenda for £43.5 million while letting academy product Tyrique George join Everton for £24 million. The Blues also received an undisclosed fee from Brentford for Joseph Wheeler-Henry, who had previously moved to Chelsea. Elsewhere, Brentford added forward Jaidon Anthony from Burnley for £17 million and midfielder Frank Onyeka from Coventry for an undisclosed sum. Brighton offloaded Pascal Struijk to Leeds for £18 million and saw Jan Paul van Hecke depart, while also letting Jeremy Sarmiento join Middlesbrough. The window remains open until 11pm UK time on September 1, with more deals expected as clubs finalize their squads for the new season.
