Man Utd Set Sights on Chelsea's Andrey Santos as Bouaddi Price Update Emerges
0
Manchester United have reportedly turned their attention to Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos as they look to shore up their options in the middle of the park, while Lille president Olivier Letang has offered a frank update on the future of teenage sensation Ayyoub Bouaddi.
According to sources, United have developed a concrete interest in the 20-year-old Brazilian, who is currently on loan at Strasbourg from Chelsea. The Red Devils are eager to add young, dynamic talent to their engine room and see Santos as a viable option. Whether Chelsea would be willing to sell to a direct rival remains to be seen.
Over in France, Lille have moved to clarify the situation surrounding Bouaddi. Letang dismissed reports that the Ligue 1 club is demanding between €80 million and €100 million for the 18-year-old, but he admitted that only a handful of elite clubs could afford a deal. “Very few clubs can match what it would take,” Letang stated, effectively putting suitors on notice.
Elsewhere in the transfer roundup, Real Sociedad star Mikel Oyarzabal has brushed off links to Barcelona, insisting he is “very happy” in San Sebastián. The Spain international has been tipped for a move to Camp Nou but made it clear he has no intention of leaving his boyhood club.
Bournemouth have also issued a hands-off warning to Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea regarding midfielder Alex Scott. The Cherries are adamant they will not sell the 21-year-old this summer, despite growing interest from Premier League heavyweights.
Over in Milan, Inter are reportedly keen on signing Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, though no formal bid has been made yet. The Serie A side are monitoring the Englishman’s situation closely.
Celtic, meanwhile, have accelerated talks with Tottenham over a move for youngster Alfie Devine, while Chelsea have secured the future of academy prospect Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli, finalizing scholarship terms with the highly rated teenager.
Finally, it is being reported that Chelsea have agreed a deal worth up to €28 million (£24m) to sell winger Tyrique George to Everton, as the Blues continue their summer reshaping.
