Wolverhampton have opened talks over the return of experienced Mexican striker Raul Jimenez. The management of the English club considers the forward as one of the priority candidates to strengthen the attack before the new season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, after the completion of the transfer, the Wolves intensified contacts with the football player's representatives. The parties are currently in talks over a possible transfer and a club delegation is in Mexico to discuss the details of the deal.
Jimenez is already well known to Wolverhampton fans. The Mexican played for the team from 2018 to 2023 and became one of the symbols of the club during this period. It was as part of the Wolves that he demonstrated the best football in his career and helped the team gain a foothold in the Premier League.
The striker spent the last three seasons at Fulham. His contract with the London club expires at the end of June, after which the 35-year-old will become a free agent.
