Chernihiv has appointed a new head coach

FC Chernihiv announced the appointment of Vasyl Baranov as the head coach of the team. The 46-year-old coach is well-known to Ukrainian football thanks to his work in Kudrivka, where he went from assistant to head coach. Under his leadership, the club from Chernihiv Oblast won the right to play in the Ukrainian Premier League for the first time in history. Before starting work in adult football, Baranov spent a long time training young players in the structures of Zora and Vorskla, proving himself as a specialist with a modern approach to the development of football players. The contract with the new mentor is for one year. The coach is tasked with continuing the development of the club, which last season kept its place in the First League and for the first time in the history of Chernihiv reached the final of the Cup of Ukraine. The club expressed hope that under the leadership of Baranov, the team will be able to achieve new successes and continue its progress in national tournaments.
