Aston Villa are monitoring Japan goalkeeper Suzuki

0
Aston Villa continues to monitor the goalkeeper market and has turned its attention to Italian Parma and Japan goalkeeper Dzion Suzuki. According to sources, club scouts attended a match involving the 23-year-old goalkeeper as part of the Japanese national team against the Netherlands () as part of the selection for the 2026 World Cup. The Japanese goalkeeper is reportedly on the shortlist to replace Aston Villa's first-choice goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who has been linked with an interest from Italy's Juventus. Last season, Suzuki played 22 matches, kept a clean sheet in six of them, conceding a total of 30 goals. In the 2025/26 EPL season, Aston Villa finished fourth and also won the Europa League.
