Wolverhampton have officially appointed Payshot as their new head coach

Wolverhampton have announced the appointment of Cesar Payshot as head coach of the team. The 46-year-old Portuguese specialist signed a contract with the Wolves until 2028. The agreement came into effect after the mentor received a work permit in England. Edwards has been leading the team since last November. He previously played for Wolverhampton Wanderers as a player, making over 100 appearances for the club between 2004 and 2008. The specialist also worked with the youth team of "Wolves" and was part of the coaching staff of the main team. Peixot's last place of work was Gilles Vicente. Under his leadership, the team took sixth place in the Portuguese championship at the end of last season and qualified for the European Cup. Wolverhampton finished last campaign in last place in the Premier League with just 20 points. As a result, the club was relegated to the Championship for the first time in eight years.
