Galatasaray wants to extend the contract with Icardi

Galatasaray plans to continue cooperation with striker Mauro Icardi. The Turkish club has already offered the 33-year-old Argentine a new deal until 2027 with an option to extend for another season. According to the conditions offered by the Istanbul club, the salary of the football player should be around 4.5 million euros per season. At the same time, Icardi himself considers this amount insufficient, as he currently receives about 10 million euros per year. Despite the disagreement in negotiations, the club is interested in keeping one of the team's key strikers. Mauro Icardi joined Galatasaray in the summer of 2023. Last season, the forward played 47 matches in all competitions, in which he scored 16 goals and provided 3 assists. In the 2025/26 season, the "lions" became champions of Turkey and won a direct ticket to the main stage of the Champions League, where they plan to play with an updated team.
