The movement applies to the Second League and makes the main bet on the development of youth

Lviv Football Club Rukh has published an official statement regarding its future performance format. In the 2026/27 season, the club will continue to play at the professional level, but the main yellow-black team will compete in the Second League of Ukraine.
As explained in the press service of the club, this decision is a strategic step, the main goal of which is to provide students of our own Academy with stable playing practice. Performances in the Second League will allow young people to gain the necessary experience in competition against adult, established football players.
Despite the reboot of the main team, the U-19 Movement remains in the National U-19 League for the next season. The management of the club does not lower the bar for this team - the young men face maximum tasks: the fight for the gold medals of the championship and obtaining a ticket to the youth European Cups.
A separate emphasis in the statement is placed on the work of the Movement Academy, which continues to function and is currently completing the first stage of large-scale selection of new personnel. The bet on one's own school is supported by strong results from last season:
The club's students performed brilliantly in the NLM Pro League, where they won three championship titles and bronze awards in the U-17 age category. The yellow-black academy became the absolute triumphant in the overall standings of Pro League teams. The younger teams (U-11, U-12 and U-13) also won medals of various kinds both in the domestic arena and at prestigious international tournaments.
These achievements, the club notes, finally proved the correctness of the chosen path. From now on, FC Rukh will focus as much as possible on the development of young talents, making every effort to make Lviv the main dominant force on the football map of Ukraine.
