Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois shared his thoughts on the eve of the meeting with Iran at the 2026 World Cup.
The experienced goalkeeper noted the strengths of the future opponent and assured that he approaches the match as well prepared as possible.
"Iran are a team that played well against New Zealand. They have a lot of shots on goal, they can score goals and they are a danger on crosses, so I will be ready for anything," said Courtois.
According to the goalkeeper, the coaching staff paid a lot of attention to the analysis of the game of the Iranian team and individual football players.
"We also worked on this with the goalkeeping coaches: we analyzed all the players and assessed their strengths. I prepare myself and try to be ready for any development on the field," the Belgian said.
The match between Belgium and Iran is scheduled for June 21, starting at 22:00.
